Dr. Atac lisans eğitimini Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesinde aldı. Doktora derecesini 2017 yılında Temple Üniversitesinde, Coulomb Sum Rule adı verilen Deney üzerinde çalışarak elde etti. Şu an Temple Üniversitesinde Research Assistant Professor olarak çalışmaktadır. Dr. Atac ayrıca Fizik Akademisi’nin kurucusudur.
